National Love Our Children Day is celebrated every year on the first Saturday in April. This “unofficial” holiday honors children by encouraging positive, loving and respectful relationships. National Love Our Children Day was chosen to be in April because April is Child Abuse Awareness month – a special month designated to bringing awareness to the issue and provide extra support and read courses to those that may need it. The best way to celebrate is simply to spend time and love on with your children. Locally, the Hutto Public Library provides many activities for families that encourage residents to read engage and learn (a few listed below).
- Infants and Children Library Program
- Tweens and Teens Club
- Reading Garden
- Summer Reading Program
