National Purple Heart Day

General George Washington created National Purple Heart Day on August 7th, 1782 in honor of those awarded the Badge of Military Merit to the 3 Revolutionary soldiers in 1783. Today the Purple Heart Award is celebrated on August 7th each year to honor members of the armed forces of the U.S. who were brave, but wounded or killed during war. We’d like to say to all our veterans, thank you for your service and God bless! Read more about the Purple Heart.
